Introduction to hand building.
4 week course
Wednesday 6pm-8.30pm
Week 1. Brief overview of studio happenings.
Stages of producing your work of art.
Make a small dish using the pinch technique.
Make a tumbler using the slab technique.
Week 2. Make a vessel using the coil technique.
Explore creative methods to enhance your work. handles, feet, carving, textures.
Week 3 &4. Using your knowledge from the previous weeks work choose a final piece of work.
Students should have between 4-6 pieces at the completion of the 4 weeks.
Students will select a glaze finish, all firing and glazing will be completed by Jenny in studio and work will be available for collection 4 weeks later
A warm hearty soup will be simmering on the Ever Hot stove (please advise of any dietary requirements).
Cost $420.00 per person (inclusions - tuition, clay, tools, glaze, firings and supper)

A minimum of 6 students are required for the workshop to proceed. If the numbers are not reached one week prior to commencement of course a full refund will be given.
Also ... while great care is taken with your work clay pieces can crack, warp or break in the drying and firing process.

Come along to one of Woolshed Ceramics workshops on a Friday morning. Spend three hours exploring clay and being creative!
